8 Facts and a Fib

Read pgs. 32-45. Write 8 complete sentences that tell a fact about frogs or toads. Then, write a complete sentence that tells a fib, or lie, about frogs or toads. Record your sentences on a sheet of paper. You will find some examples for past students' comments.

Example:
1. When tadpoles body's start to change, they spend more time near the surface of the water they're swimming in.

2. Tadpoles use their tongue to scrape algae off rocks and logs.

3. Bullfrog tadpoles take up to two years to turn into a small frog.

4. Small frogs and tadpoles can be prey to water beetles, fish, birds, and other frogs.
